Responsible Growth for Texas

Responsible Growth for Texas

Chris is focused on responsible growth—fighting for everyday, hardworking Texans, creating opportunity, tackling affordability challenges Texans face everyday, rewarding hard work, and protecting rural communities.

Living the American Dream

Chris is passionate about protecting the American Dream because he has lived it. Growing up in the small Texas towns of Throckmorton and Graham instilled in Chris a strong work ethic and sense of community.

Because of his upbringing, Chris also knows that rural Texas can be overlooked if we don’t fight for it. That’s what he’ll do.

The Plan

01

Make Life Affordable Again

• Cut the cost of gas, groceries, and healthcare by suspending the gas tax when prices surge, going after the middlemen who inflate grocery prices, and eliminating hidden PBM markups on prescription drugs.

• Cut the cost of buying a first home with new tax deductions for first-time buyers and for down payments on a new primary residence.

02

Keep the Border Secure

• Write the current border-enforcement policies into law so a future president can’t undo them with the stroke of a pen.

• Treat the cartels as the terrorist organizations they are and impose tougher penalties on those trafficking fentanyl into our communities.

03

Clean Up Washington

• Ban members of Congress and their spouses from trading individual stocks while they hold office.

• Limit how long politicians can stay in Washington so serving becomes a duty, not a career.

04

Build in America Again

• Bring manufacturing home and end our dependence on China for critical supplies, with incentives to reshore production and rules governing what the federal government buys.

• Cut the red tape that keeps American factories and energy projects stuck in years of federal permitting.

05

Protect Rural Texas

• Put local communities first when data centers want to come to town: preserve our water, protect families from higher power bills, and require a clear economic benefit for local citizens.

• Protect family farms and ranches from the estate tax so heirs aren’t forced to sell land that has been in the family for generations.
